Slow Cooked Antelope

Round steak is often tough, and hard to cook. One of my favorite ways to cook it is in a crockpot. Slow cooking it really helps give it a better flavor and a softer texture. Slow cooked antelope, elk or venison is perfect for tacos, stroganoff or breakfast burritos.

Put all ingredients into a crockpot, set temperature to low and cook all day or overnight until meat becomes tender.

Crockpot Ingredients

  • 1 lb antelope round steaks cut into 2 inch pieces
  • 1/2 cup of dry red wine
  • 32oz Beef Broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4-5 whole garlic cloves
  • 1/2 medium onion diced
