Round steak is often tough, and hard to cook. One of my favorite ways to cook it is in a crockpot. Slow cooking it really helps give it a better flavor and a softer texture. Slow cooked antelope is perfect for tacos, stroganoff or breakfast burritos.

Round steaks are often challenging and hard to cook. An easy and hassle free way to do this is to slow cook the meat giving it a softer more tender texture. You can then choose to shred the meat and enjoy on a roll with barbecue sauce, use in tacos or use with your favorite enchilada recipe. ~Enjoy!

Substitute elk round steak or venison round steak.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb antelope round steaks
  • 1/2 cup of dry red wine
  • 32oz Beef Broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4-5 whole garlic cloves
  • 1/2 medium onion diced

Add all steaks and all ingredients to a slow cooker. Turn the temperature to low and forget about it for 8-12 hours or until the meat becomes tender.
